Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) is the follow-up flop to Mortal Kombat (1995). How is it possible that this movie bombed when during its 1h 23m run‑time, the audience is treated to 53 flips? That's 1 flip every 1.5 minutes or 0.66 flips per minute. I am defining a flip as an acrobatic stunt where the subject rotates completely upside-down (thus, discounting drill-like spins) without contact with the ground (thus, discounting rolls and cartwheels). Assisted flips are valid so long as the intent is a flip and not a fall.
